On November 15, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced that Toyota Motor Corporation will hold a press conference at the CES 2018, which takes place next January in Las Vegas.
Held in January each year, the CES gathers participants from around the world, such as manufacturers of consumer electronics, computers and audio equipment. It is known to be the world’s largest exhibition of new products and latest technology. In 2017, over 165,000 people from around 150 countries attended the event.
In recent years, Toyota has emphasized its participation in the CES. At the CES 2017, the Japanese automaker introduced its Concept-i, a vehicle that can engage with people through artificial intelligence.
As of this moment, no details have been announced regarding Toyota’s press conference at the CES 2018. As Toyota has been focused on its development of connected cars, autonomous driving and the platform business, we can expect something similar this time around.
Toyota’s press conference is scheduled to take place on January 8, 2018 from 9 am local time. Toyota will be the only Japanese automaker to hold a press conference at the show.
