On September 13, Toyota Motor Europe announced that it will be featuring a selection of two hybrid powertrains for its core models in the near future.
One of these is the current hybrid system, which will become the standard option in pursuit of optimal fuel efficiency.
The other hybrid will be a new, high-performance system that’s based on the current hybrid and offers an even more dynamic ride through greater power for its engine and motor.
According to Toyota Motor Europe, further details on this project will be announced in early 2018. At the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, which commenced on September 12 in Germany, Toyota unveiled its C-HR HY-POWER Concept. As this prototype was developed to offer the best in hybrid performance for the C-HR, this unveiling could be linked to Toyota’s upcoming hybrid project.
