In recent news Maruti Suzuki India has crossed its compact SUV Vitara Brezza vehicle sales by over 1.1 lakh units in India in its first year launch. The new mini-SUV, which was unveiled by the automaker in March 2016, has also been reported to have over 50,000 pending bookings with over 20 weeks of waiting period (varies for different models).
As far as the acknowledgement aspects of the new car is considered, Managing Director and CEO at Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), Kenichi Ayukawa quoted that Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has revamped the urban SUV segment in the Indian market and that too within a very short period.
Considering the sales charts for MSI’s utility vehicles in India, Vitara Brezza has helped the company gain over 120% UV sales in its financial year from April 2016 to February 2017. According to reports, the MSI’s UV sales during that time were reportedly at 1,77,430 units which is greater than last fiscal year’s numbers of 80,522 units.
