On March 7 at the Geneva International Motor Show, the World Car Awards announced the 3 finalists for the 2017 World Urban Car Award.
The World Urban Car Award is one category of the World Car of the Year Awards. This award has been newly established having realized that over 50% of the population of earth live in urban centers, and chooses the car best suited to life in the city.
the 2017 World Urban Car finalists are:
BMX i3 (94 Ah)
Suzuki was the lone Japanese manufacturer that made it into the finals, the company’s Ignis model making it all the way to the finals where it will content with BMW’s EV and plug in hybrid, the i3 and Citroën’s new compact, the C3.
The winner of the 2017 World Urban Car will be announced in mid-April at the New York Motor Show 2017.
