On March 6, Europe Car of the Year announced that the Peugeot 3008 is the 2017 Car of the Year.
This year is the 30th annual ECOTY. For the awards, about 60 journalists from over 20 European countries choose the best new model in Europe, including those set for release.
Here are the 2017 European Car of the Year finalists.

- Alfa Romeo Giulia (296 points)
- Mercedes-Benz E Class (197 points)
- Volvo S90 (172 points)
- Citroen C3 (166 points)
- Toyota C-HR (165 points)
- Nissan Micra (135 points)
The Peugeot 3008 won with over 300 points. Two Japanese models made it into the finals, the Toyota C-HR and new Nissan Micra.
