Earlier this month, Nissan announced that the e-NV200 had become their best selling commercial EV car in Europe for 2016.
The e-NV200 sold 4,319 units all throughout Europe, a 7% increase compared with sales from 2015.
The car sold the most in the UK. Including the company’s Leaf, the UK continues to display a deep-seated demand for Nissan electric vehicles, displayed by the fact that Nissan accounts for around half of that demographic’s market share in the country. As for the e-NV200, the model accounted for over 82% of sales, doubling the number from 2014.
The car also performed well, second best being in Norway and third being France.
Nissan Europe EV boss Gareth Dunsmore commented that “There are a lot of companies who are really looking to lower their carbon emissions and placing more importance on the demand for zero emissions transportation.”
