Mazda CX-9 named as finalist for WCOTY and World Car Design of the Year

In early February, Mazda North America announced that the new CX-9 was selected as a finalist for both the 2017 World Car Design of the Year and 2017 World Car of the Year awards.

The new Mazda MX-5 managed to win both the World Car of the Year Award and World Car Design of the Year in 2016. This year, the new CX-9 has followed in its footsteps into the finalists.

The new CX-9 has already won a number of awards such as Car of the Year for Australia’s biggest automotive magazine, “Wheels.”

Mazda North America CEO Masahiro Moro says, “We couldn’t be more honored to have CX-9 recognized for two World Car of the Year categories.”
