Mitsubishi FUSO to reenter Uruguayan market with release of three models

On November 11, Mitsubishi FUSO Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) announced its reentry into the Uruguayan market.

MFTBC will release three models in Uruguay through the FUSO brand’s wholesaler and retailer, Autolider Uruguay. With a longstanding history encompassing nearly 30 years, Autolider Uruguay has been providing Mercedes-Benz’s line of trucks, commercial vans and buses, as well as Freightliner’s trucks to the Uruguayan market as a wholesaler and retailer for Daimler’s commercial vehicle brand.

Autolider Uruguay was authorized as a FUSO brand retailer in 2013. In order to ensure success in the market, it conducted years of research and developments aimed at meeting the demands of its consumers.

MFTBC’s lineup for the Uruguayan market features the compact Canter, midsize FA and the heavy-duty FJ. In addition, a customer service center has been established through which Autolider Uruguay aims to enhance awareness of the FUSO brand.

At its opening ceremony, Autolider Uruguay’s President Carlos Bustin said, “We are confident that the FUSO brand will succeed in Uruguay and further expand this market.”
