According to its September production, sales and export figures, Nissan’s total global production set a new record at 485,154 units. This is up 11.2% from the previous year and marks the 8th month of year-on-year growth.
Overseas production was up 12.0% at 407,440 units, marking the 17th month of growth and setting a new record for September. Growth was favorable in the US, the UK and China. All set new records for September. Domestic production was up 7.0% at 77,714 units, which marks the 2nd month of growth.
Global sales were up 6.0% at 488,307 units, which marks the 2nd month of growth and sets a new record for September. Domestic sales were down 16.3% at 47,350 units, making September the 28th month of year-on-year decline. Non-kei cars were down 11.0% at 33,468 units and kei cars were down 26.6% at 13,882 units. Overseas sales were up 9.1% at 440,957 units, setting a new record for September and marking the 5th month of growth. Sales set records in the US, Mexico, Europe and China.
Exports were up 40.3% at 51,856 units, marking the 5th month of growth.
