The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that it has been notified of a recall for the Subaru Outback (the Legacy Outback, in Japan) by Fuji Heavy Industries.
According to NHTSA, due to improper tightening of brake bolts on the brake caliper, wheel hubs and stabilizer, there are concerns that it may lead to accidents.
The recall applies to 2017 models of the Subaru Outback produced between June 20 and 23 of this year and sold in the US.
Subaru of America will be contacting the owners of these vehicles and the brake bolts will be replaced after inspections at its dealerships.
