This MSMR engine plant is scheduled to produce 50,000 units annually with production targeted to commence sometime in 2018.
Moreover, the government of the Russian Federation is expected to provide assistance for the plant until 2023.
Since commencing operations back in October 2012, MSMR has produced over 100,000 Mazda vehicles, which include the currently assembled CX-5 and Atenza, to all of Russia.
Mazda said, “Going forward, we will utilize our exceptional automotive production capabilities and Soller’s strengths in the region, further develop our partnership and contribute to the automotive industry in Russia.â€
