On August 23, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus issued a recall with Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for the Fuso Fighter over a defect in the headlights.
The recall applies to one Fuso Fighter model built from March 20, 2012, to June 9, 2016. It applies to a total of 10,507 trucks.
In mid-sized Fuso Fighters with discharge headlight, a defect in the connector pinout for the sensor at the rear of the vehicle could prevent activation of the height sensor. As a result, during adverse road conditions, there is a risk that the discharge light’s auto-leveling system will not work.
Sub-harness connector pinouts are being replaced for all cars with the potential defect.
The company says there have been no reported accidents or problems related to the potential defect.
