NEXA is the general term adopted by the company to refer to its premium show rooms that Maruti Suzuki recently built in India. Maruti Suzuki has set their target for new car sales by the year 2020 at 2 million units, and in order to achieve this goal, the company launched NEXA showrooms in July of 2015 with the intent of engaging with a new demographic of customers.
At NEXA, customers are met by hospitable staff in a relaxed atmosphere, using black and white as motifs, and are privileged to automotive experiences only available at NEXA locations along with information on the latest digital innovations.
This July brought about the 1st anniversary of the opening of the first NEXA outlet opened, and over the course of twelve months, the NEXA dealer network was able to expand to 94 municipalities throughout India with 150 locations. Furthermore, NEXA boasted having sold over one hundred thousand cars, accounting for 10% of all Maruti Suzuki sales.
Presently, NEXA is engaged in sales of the S-Cross and Baleno models. Maruti Suzuki commented that “By March 2017, we will expand NEXA to 250 locations, and by 2020, we hope purchases through NEXA will account for 15% of all Maruti Suzuki sales.â€
