According to Hino’s May production, domestic sales and exports figures, global production was up 4.7% at 14,122 units, marking the first month of growth in 11 months.
Domestic production was down 0.8% at 11,374 units, marking the 2nd month of decline. It expanded overseas production by adding Asia and May’s overseas production was up 36.4% at 2,748 units.
Domestic sales were up 20.1% at 4,146 units, marking the 2nd month of double-digit growth. Hino’s share of the regular truck market went up 7.5 points at 38.7%.
Exports were down to North America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, declining 9.7% at 5,437 units, marking the 16th month of decline.
