According to Mitsubishi’s production, Japan sales and exports figures from March, total production was down 19% from the previous year’s March at 121,961 units, marking the 4th consecutive month of year-on-year decline.
Domestic Japan production was up 11.6% at 71,713 units, marking the 6th straight month of growth. Overseas production was down 16.3% at 50,248 units, marking the 11th month of decline.
Domestic sales were down 1.2% at 16,127 units, marking the 2nd month of year-on-year decline. Sales of non-kei models like the Outlander PHEV and Delica D:2 were up a favorable 21.5% at 6,416 but eK kei-car series sales were down 12.1% at 9,711 units.
Mitsubishi’s share went up 0.2 points from the previous March and now sits at 2.8%.
Exports were up 9.1% at 43,461 units, marking the 7th consecutive month of growth.
