Nissan wants to aim for 1.3 million unit sales in China, says Managing Director Seki

Regarding the 1.3 million units (up 6% year-on-year) that were planned to be sold in China in the 2015 calendar year, Jun Seki, senior managing director of Nissan Motor Corporation (president of Dongfeng Nissan) said at the financial statement conference on July 29 in Yokohama City, “Although we don’t have time in the last minute, we want novelty on our achievements.”

The achievements of the automobile market in China have continued to be in a bad situation for three consecutive months until June, compared to the previous year.

On the other hand, he showed their viewpoint and said, “The government declared an intervention to economic leverage. Therefore, this downturn will not last that long.”

The results of Nissan from January to June are up 5% year-on-year to about 590,000 units. However, the progress in the plan is somewhat slightly delayed. Seki emphasized that they will face it head on and said, “Since a new model will be introduced later in August, we will aim to significantly increase our sales in the second half.”
