Mazda began production of its new BT-50 pickup truck at its Auto Alliance (Thailand) Thai production plant on July 13. Mazda plans to roll out the new BT-50 in late 2015 starting with Thailand and Australia.
The BT-50 made its first appearance in 2011 as an “active lifestyle vehicle” with its modern and polished style. Since its release, it earned an excellent reputation as a family use and leisure use model with its good driving performance, many interior features, and ample cargo space.
While keeping the usability and performance of the current model, the new BT-50 cuts a sportier figure with its newly designed front face, rear combination lights, and aluminum wheels. It also offers a higher quality interior and new safety features such as rearview monitors.
The power train and body type are the same as the current model.
