2015 Automotive Engineering Exposition: Denso to exhibit hydrogen-based system equipped in the Mirai and others

Denso Corporation will hold an exhibit at the 2015 Automotive Engineering Exposition, at the Pacifico Yokohama from May 20 until 22. They will introduce products and technologies related to environment and safety.

In terms of the environmental field, Denso will introduce various products that are mounted on the Mirai Fuel Cell Vehicle. Denso uses technologies that are developed for hybrid and internal-combustion engine vehicles. They provide various components, such as an integral thermal control system and hydrogen-based system for fuel cells. Denso will introduce the role of these products in each system along with other products in their booth.

In addition, for the first time in the world, they will exhibit the eSC alternator, a high-efficiency alternator equipped with a rectifier that uses a power transistor (MOSFET). The fuel economy is improved by 1% by upgrading the conventional SC alternator and increasing the power generation.

In terms of safety and security, Denso will exhibit various technologies, such as the infrastructure coordination system mounted on the vehicle in order to achieve transportation efficiency and safety using wireless communication. They will also exhibit their recent efforts for Denso’s Advance Driver Assistance System. For the Advance Driver Assistance System, they will present through videos the vehicle demonstration at ITS World Congress, and public road experiments at Minamichita road in Aichi Prefecture, which were both carried out last year.
