Auto and motorcycle manufacturers provide financial aid to Nepal

In response to the massive earthquake that took place in Nepal, several automobile and motorcycle manufacturers are providing financial aid to the disaster stricken areas.

Contributions include 10 million yen from both Suzuki and Kawasaki Heavy Industries, 5 million yen from Yamaha Motor Company, 3 million yen from both Denso and Toyota Industries, and about 1.18 million yen from Toyota Boshoku.

The enormous earthquake that occurred on April 25 in the western part of Nepal registered a magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale and sustained a tremendous amount of damage to the area. Over 5,000 people have been killed and many others are missing. Rescue efforts are still continuing at this time.
