On January 6, Nissan Motor Corporation announced that the X-Trail was awarded “China Car of the Year” by China Mainstream Media Automobile Alliance.
The China Mainstream Media Automobile Alliance is composed of 23 different media . This organization’s members evaluate all of the new models that have been released in a year year under criteria such as acceleration performance, riding performance, functionality, gas mileage performance, interior/exterior design, and cost performance.
As of this time, Nissan has been awarded COTY for three consecutive years. The award was also won by the Sylphy in 2012 and the Teana in 2013.
The X-Trail has been produced in Dongfeng Nissan’s Zhengzhou and Dalian plant. Its sales volume since release records at more than 10,000 units per month. Its total cumulative sales have reach 110,000 units or more.
