Honda’s aircraft subsidiary Honda Aircraft Company (HACI) will display the HondaJet compact business jet at the Middle East Business Aviation held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from December 6 to 8.
It will be the first time an actual HondaJet has made a public appearance in the Middle East. The Middle East region is one of the markets in which HACI hopes to sell the HondaJet in the future. In addition, the HondaJet’s flight range is well suited to flying within the Arabian Peninsula.
The HondaJet is the world’s most advanced light jet and uses proprietary technologies such as its Over-The-Wing Engine Mount (OTWEN), natural laminar flow wings, and composite fuselage. This makes it the best compact business jet in its class for speed, utility, ascent performance, fuel economy and storage space. Currently it is sold in 11 locations in North America, Europe and Brazil.
HACI President Michimasa Fujino said, “In order to display the HondaJet at this year’s show, we want to ascertain the best timing to introduce it to the Middle Eastern market taking into careful consideration the voices of our customers and its marketability, and we want to make use of this timing to introduce it to the Middle Eastern market.”
