Float resembling Mitsubishi’s MRJ joins Thai parade

(Thailand) The Consulate-General of Japan in Chiang Mai, in association with the Chiang Mai Japanese Association, participated in the Loi Krathong Parade with a float resembling Mitsubishi’s MRJ passenger aircraft and a couple of pole lanterns from the Akita Kanto Festival.

The parade was organized to mourn the death of Bhumibol Adulyadej, the former King of Thailand who passed away in October. Many local residents and visitors dressed in black gathered along the roads to take pictures of the brightly lit floats.
