ANA reports July performance with favorable sales in European and domestic flights

All Nippon Airways has reported its sales results from July.

The number of passengers rose 12.9% year-on-year with a total of 800,663. Travel to Europe was down due to fears of terrorism. At 69,450 passengers, it was down 1.2% from the previous year. Travel to Asia and Oceania was up 17.9% at 555,192 travelers. Travel to Hawaii and North America was up 4.6% at 176,021. Utilization rate was 78.8%.

Domestic travel numbers were up 1.4% at 3,270,666 passengers, marking the 2nd month of growth. Flights were particularly numerous from Tokyo to Osaka and Tokyo to Naha. Utilization rate was 62.2%

For freight and mail, international freight sales were up 20.8% at 67,281 tons. Mail was down 18.6% at 2,014 tons.

Domestic freight was down 6.7% at 41,456 tons. Domestic mail was down 8.7% for ANA at 2,448 tons.
