HondaJet unveiled in Mexico

HondaJet receives type certification in Mexico

On March 16, Honda Aircraft Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Honda Motor Company, announced that the Honda Jet has received type certification from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Mexico, the Direccion General de Aeronautica Civil.

To accompany this announcement, the HondaJet was unveiled on the same day at the 2016 Aero Expo, Mexico’s largest business aviation event held at Toluca International Airport.

Deliveries of the HondaJet in Mexico are scheduled to begin within a few weeks.

On December 8, 2015, the HondaJet received type certification from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration. Later that month on December 23, Honda Aircraft Company began deliveries to customers in the US.

Honda Aircraft Company’s President Michimasa Fujino said, “Receiving aircraft validation in Mexico is an important milestone for Honda Aircraft Company, paving the way for the start of HondaJet deliveries in Mexico. We are excited to respond to the interests of customers in Mexico, and we will begin with the first delivery in a few weeks.”
