Honda Motor Co., Ltd. plans to unveil for the first time the business aircraft Honda Jet, which they are planning to deliver to US customers in the first half of 2015, in the end of April in Japan.
On February 13, President Michimasa Fujino from Honda Aircraft Company (main office of North Carolina), a US aircraft company, had a discussion with the reporters in Asahikawa Hokkaido and revealed the following. They brought one aircraft to patrol several locations across the country for about a week, as well as do display and trial aviations.
President Fujino said, “I want many people to see the Honda Jet as much as possible ; I am also hoping that everyone will be able to realize that these business jets becoming popular in Japan in the future is a possibility as well.” President Takanobu Ito attended the panel discussion and said, “The commercialization in Japan has not yet been decided. However, Honda is a company in Japan that wants to take this kind of opportunity.”
The Honda Jet has obtained orders for more than 100 aircraft so far. At present, the final procedure in the authentication by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is ongoing. Honda Aircraft aims to gain profit by the end of March and the Jet itself has already started mass production.
