Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI) announced its results of production, domestic sales and exports for the first half (April to September) of fiscal 2016. According to these results, global production grew 9.3% from the previous year, to 502,285 units, resulting in record-high first half figures for the fifth consecutive year.

On October 3, Subaru of America announced its sales results for September 2016. According to these results, overall sales grew 3.5% from the previous year to 54,918 units, resulting in a surplus for the 58th consecutive month and a record high for September.
