The North American International Auto Show, North America's biggest motor show, opened its doors on January 9 at Detroit's Cobo Center.

In an effort to promote the North American market, US carmakers and others from around the world are making the world premieres of many new models. Like last week's CES, the show features concept models that point the way of the future, as well as the latest versions of popular current models.

Expectations are high at the event and TV stations are standing by to cover all that goes on.
