Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. announced that its Proxes C100 had been elected as the "2013 Product of the Year" in the passenger car category by the Chinese automobile specialist magazine "Qiche Zhiezhi (Auto Magazine)."

"Qiche Zhiezhi" is one of China's flagship automobile specialty magazines, with a large number of subscriptions in many major cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and Chengdu, making it one of the most visible information mediums for automobile enthusiasts. Conducting extensive product tests and test drives in the lead-in to the selection of the winner of this prize, it was the magazine's high praise for Proxes C100's body strength and the low level of noise in the passenger cabin that made the product win the 2013 Product of the Year award in the passenger car category.

The magazine gave the following evaluation of the Proxes C100: "Thanks to Toyo Tires' newest asymmetrical pattern settings and the optimization of its product construction, this is a tire suitable for the wide variety of street conditions found across the Chinese market. It is a product that gives drivers both comfort and an excellent handling ability."

Completed in December of 2011 at the Toyo group's Toyo Tire Zhangjiagang tire factory, the Proxes C100, whose manufacture and distribution were both conducted through the unique and innovative A.T.O.M. technique, is a tire made especially for the Chinese market. The care put in the product development, which was conducted based on a detailed hearing of needs in the Chinese market by Toyo's subsidiary sales company in China, Toyo Tires Shanghai Trading, is reflected in the product's high-speed handling capability, silence, and resistance.
